Ok, I planned to post this fic only in January, but as I don't know how my life will be until then - everything leads to believe that it will be a busy month - I decided to post at least the prologue at the end of the year. a dream, so to speak. I don't know if anyone else here does this, but I always find myself imagining other possibilities and hooks when I read someone's story, especially when it's a fic of considerable size and excellent quality. And with Guardians and Esperanto:Solfege it was no different. My happiness was huge when I got the permission to write it. I come here to post Serpentarius, a spin-off of Guardians. And, technically, a "sister" fic to Esperanto. Because this world originally created by Luciane Rangel and expanded by Petit Ange and so many other talented authors still has a lot to offer. The posts of this fic will take time; It's a fic that requires a LOT of research in each paragraph. Please be patient Attention: It is recommended that the reader has followed Guardians and Esperanto: Solfege to fully understand the story and its quotes - indirect or otherwise.

Benedict Valentine is the greatest mind of the 19th century. The 13-year-old boy genius gifted with mecha-magical eyes seeks revenge after being kidnapped and having his right eye stolen by a gang. Ben sets off in search of revenge and, with luck, to recover his right eye, the very eye that was given to him as a gift by King Dragomir when he was still a frail, blind baby.
Founded in 1389, among the mountains that divide France and Switzerland, Saint Orpheus is an institution surrounded by centuries of forbidden knowledge, forgotten traditions, and stories that few dare to mention. Behind its ancient walls, the past is never truly dead (and some truths should remain buried). At twenty-one years old, Lucien is about to discover that his entire life has been built on a lie. Heir to a lineage long erased from history, he carries within himself something that predates even the ancient celestial orders: the Original Darkness. But Saint Orpheus is not the only place interested in his destiny. Aurelian and Samael are two presences impossible to ignore. Fallen angels, united by an ancient oath and by secrets they refuse to share, both seem to know far more about Lucien than they should. One awakens his curiosity; the other, his distrust. As the boundaries between the Firmament, the Veil, and the Abyss begin to become less secure, Lucien will need to discover who he truly is and why his existence seems to threaten an order that has survived for centuries.
A photography student opens a metal box forgotten at the back of his grandfather's closet. Inside: old negatives, notebooks his grandfather never let anyone read, a sheet music dedicated to someone no one in the family knows, and a little red beanie that, after thirteen years stored away, is still warm. The grandfather can no longer travel. The answers stayed in the North, in a village that may not even exist anymore. So the grandson goes in his place, in the middle of the Círio de Nazaré, with a camera, a best friend who refuses to stay home, and the feeling that some photos hold more than they show. Twelve photos. Eleven empty places. And what was left out of the frame.
An unknown disease is consuming the lives of the inhabitants of Lontúrnia. Refusing to lose her parents, Morgana abandons her home and sets out in search of a cure, guided only by rumors of a mysterious alchemist who lives in the depths of the Trebor Forest. Alongside a young scholar named Apolo, the veteran hunter known as Lobo, and the tracker Kira, she will face beasts, forgotten ruins, and the dangers of a world too vast to be understood. But the greatest threat may not be in the forest. For the closer they get to the alchemist, the more questions arise. Who is the man who lives isolated among monsters? Why does his name appear in stories told for generations? And why do his eyes seem to carry the weight of centuries? As Morgana's hope dwindles with each passing day, she will discover that some answers have a higher price than she imagined.
Lobo and Ethan were on their way to study the pillar on which the insidious seal was made when the mage had an epiphany and told Lobo to go back in time before him. The druid followed his friend's advice, but, unlike what he expected, he did not return to a point in his past: he arrived at a completely new place, where a figure both familiar and unknown awaited him.
