D'espairsRay foi uma banda japonesa de rock visual kei formada em 1999 na cidade de Tóquio. Composta por Hizumi nos vocais, Karyu na guitarra, Zero no baixo e Tsukasa na bateria, a banda se destacou por sua música pesada e atmosférica, combinando elementos do metal industrial com o estilo visual kei. A carreira da D'espairsRay começou com lançamentos independentes, mas eles ganharam reconhecimento internacional após assinarem contrato com a gravadora major Universal Music Japan.
