Chronicle 2: Age of Splendor

If you plow the fields, the seeds will sprout and new growth will occur. The land of Aden, once ravaged by these bloodthirsty warlords, has flourished in prosperity. While feudal lords and aged knights, bound by tradition, mourned the collapse of the old order, others aspired to wreak havoc behind the scenes. Traders were willing to placate anyone to make a profit. Sieghardt Ein had been recognized as lord of the castle of Giran, but he did not actually rule over its territory. He ceased to perform the duties of a castle lord, such as collecting taxes or managing the manor. After three months, he abandoned the castle, disappearing with his soldiers. However, the lord who succeeded him was too ambitious. Despite tossing out strong opposition from the Giran traders, he treated the decades-long trade war with Innadril as a purely diplomatic matter. Innadril, the water mansion, had been unable to trade with other territories without first passing through Giran. Now the lord of the house has made a pact with the lord of Giran and trade resumed between the two territories.
