The Spider in the Web
Natasha Romanoff has always lived up to the Black Widow codename; Her lies were woven with the most perfect mastery, and each reenactment was perfect, entangling victims like a soft, invisible spider's web, until the final suffocation came, from nowhere, with a lethal "sting." She always mastered her farces, always knew her own web well. But even the most effective hunter makes mistakes, and hers has a name: Steve Rogers. Ever since the soldier and his honesty entered a woman's life, her solitary hunter habits have been called into question, and the role she has spun for herself for nearly a century begins to tear as, trapped in her web, she struggles not to. succumb. A struggle against herself, during which Romanoff must face the truth, while the certainties she thought she had collapsed along with the world she created for herself within SHIELD: sometimes, letting yourself be captured is the only path to liberation. . Is love really just childish? Would the vile predator really be unworthy of being bestowed with this boon? And above all... What is love? The passion of a man's embrace? The trust of two beings guarding each other's backs? Or the pure gaze of an abandoned child, who would so foolishly give his whole heart to the infamous killer? For the first time since she left the KGB, Natasha Romanoff can't trust the safety of her web. Taken by surprise, she discovers that one day it is for the hunt, and another for the hunter. And that it's possible to belong on both sides, at the same time, when everything she's denied in herself and for herself has finally risen up to confront her.

“The first thing that came to my mind when I read this story was the fact that Natasha is better developed here, in this fanfic, than in the movies. No comparison !!!! It is absurd how much Natasha Romanoff finally had her personality and actions treated as she deserves. It is real in all aspects in the foreground. Each word of this story is perfect and well written, and the author's research is notorious to develop each mission and personality in the most millimeter and true way possible, I learned very crazy things here lol. It is not just a story Romanogers, with a true, light and real novel, I imagine if it happened in the movies it would be just like that. Steve is a piece of cuteness! Natasha's friendship with Clint has never been so well explored, I'm in love. And it is impossible not to fall in love and cry with little Lucy every time she opens her mouth, makes you want to take home! And the introduction of the X-Men is simply perfect. Everything in this story is perfect, breaks and teaches Marvel how to make a script!”
