There are more mysteries between heaven and earth than you might think, and the divinatory arts often use tarot cards as a means of elucidating the questions of those who inhabit the earth. A series based on the major arcana of the tarot, starring some characters dear to me.
Spring is affectionate and flowery, as passionate as its colors. Summer is hot and offensive, always forcing action and looking for cool shades. Autumn is warm and colored by shades of orange and brown, asking for care and zeal. Winter is cold and extreme, freezing any kind of liquid and draining all the existing heat. Four seasons where the weather tends to change abruptly. Four distinct views of shizaya's 'alternates' (including their own) where these same seasons seem to describe them better than themselves. [a short series of oneshots starring the so-called alter egos of Shizuo and Izaya - with them included]
Izaya thought he was prepared for whatever the conclusion of his last battle with Ikebukuro's monster would be, but he hadn't considered the possibility that it wouldn't be the end.
"...you do the same shit everyday." For the moreno, whoever does the same thing every day is a predictable being. Who follows a routine therefore predictable? This question goes on to torment Ikebukuro's most enigmatic informant. Izaya has always considered himself smart, cunning, unpredictable... a god, but a single sentence ends up showing that he's not everything he thought he was.
Shizuo is an angel who ends up falling to Earth for not being aware that love and the act of loving were the privilege of humans. Once he starts lusting after someone, his wings weaken and he is kicked out of heaven.
