It was supposed to be just a mission where they would finish off more demons, close another fissure and return to the fortress listening to Dorian's silly complaints, but the unexpected put their lives on the line changing plans. 「Inquisitor!Elf × Dorian」
Using a portal created by the Sorceress Yennefer, a mistake in magic ends up sending the witcher Geralt to a new world, and he finds himself caught in a plot where his ability to slay monsters may be the only salvation of humanity threatened by the Blight.
The burden is heavy. Being the leader of the Inquisition is being able to make decisions that no one else wants to be responsible for. It's being the Chosen One. The Herald of Andraste. It's being able to close the Breach and its countless fissures, it's facing Archdemons and destroying dark creatures with aspirations to godhood. It is to end the ills suffered by the people and maintain the order of an empire on the verge of ruin. It is to be the watershed. The Ascendant. Thedas hope. What everyone needs. The Inquisitor. But, was there anyone at some point who wondered what the Inquisitor needs?
Trevelyan embarks on a hunt for the dragons of Emprise du Lion, and there's nothing better than fighting the beasts alongside his good friends and, of course, his favorite Tevinteran. But Dorian isn't so keen on taking part in this journey under the snow.
Malary didn't hate Andraste. Andraste was hope, perseverance, struggle. Malary didn't hate the Choir either. The Choir was created to unite people, protect them, give them a path. Malary hated the Templars, hated Meredith, hated being treated fearfully and like a demon. Malary was no longer going to bow to the rules of the Chorus, or the Circle of Mages. She was going to forge her own path. Like a Mage. No... Like an Apostate.
At best, they might just be a summer shower, at worst... well, there's a reason Sophie's nickname is Stormy. She was always around Templars: her father and brother were Knights of the Order. This gave her a different view of the Rebellion mages. After the Temple's explosion during the Conclave, she wakes up as the solution to the catastrophe - the rift in the sky - and its aftermath. What she didn't expect was to see how her family influenced the lives of so many people she will meet in the meantime... Especially a Templar, a mage hunter, a chevalier from Orlais and so many others.
