In Marlene, Stephen had everything he ever dreamed of. She was beautiful, calm, cheerful. She never complained or asked for attention. In other words: perfect for him. But what is perfection if not a dose of monotony?
In my youth, I always enjoyed watching the men of the small island Chioro, south of what men now call Japan. It was one of those islets with little population, some fertile land, calm and gentle seas, but little navigated by the fear that held men to the place. But this isn't a story of my own, it's actually what makes Chioro unique. At least, in the eyes of a dragon.
10 years ago, the Kingdom of Coralina fell. Everyone thinks the heiress died that night. Everyone is wrong. Coral is 15 years old, has a pink tail that shines too brightly, a broken necklace from her mother, and a father who keeps looking over his shoulder. On her first day at High Tide School, she meets her best friends and a blue-tailed prince who feels like he has seen her in a dream. What Coral doesn't yet know is that her past is coming back to find her. And that she is much more important than she imagines.
Alfredo is about to say goodbye to his best friend, with whom he is in love. It's the last summer before seeing him leave for college, and he needs to figure out how to deal with his emotions and not do anything desperate.
Some doors, once opened, can never be closed again. Helena is in no hurry, nor is she afraid, and she does not let herself be swayed by pretty words. But every rose has its thorn. When two such different presences cross her path, she will discover that it is not possible to keep everything under control at all times. One calms, the other sets ablaze. One is shelter, the other is storm. For even the gentlest calm holds a flame, and within the storm itself there is already a harbinger of tranquility - each heart carries within itself both the flame and the breeze that can extinguish it. Be careful not to lose yourself. The labyrinth is yours, and only you will find the way out.
In a city devastated by war, we follow the journey of two survivors who have learned, each in their own way, to live with violence, loss, and loneliness. He does not know that he saved her life. She knows only that he is more dangerous than the killers who threatened her. Neither of them seeks company. Nor do they believe that there is still room for kindness in a world where surviving demands so much. But a dead boy and an almost insignificant act of kindness end up intertwining their fates. Between small acts of care, silences, and difficult choices, two strangers discover that surviving the war may not be as difficult as learning to live after everything they have lost.
