"DURARARA!!" é uma série de light novel japonesa escrita por Ryohgo Narita e ilustrada por Suzuhito Yasuda. Foi lançada pela primeira vez em 2004 e desde então se tornou um sucesso, sendo adaptada para anime, mangá e filmes. A história se passa no distrito fictício de Ikebukuro, em Tóquio, onde várias facções se cruzam. O protagonista da história é Mikado Ryuugamine, um jovem que se muda para Ikebukuro para estudar na escola particular Raira Academy. Lá ele reencontra seu amigo de infância Masaomi Kida e acaba entrando em contato com o submundo secreto da cidade. Ao longo da trama, somos apresentados a vários personagens carismáticos e complexos, como Izaya Orihara, um manipulador mestre que adora causar caos; Shizuo Heiwajima, um homem extremamente forte que tem problemas com sua raiva; Celty Sturluson, uma motoqueira sem cabeça que está em busca de sua cabeça perdida; entre outros.
