The Mermaid
You can't run away from who you are. I find myself reaffirming this to myself every now and then. And even though the idea is as fixed in my head as the sun is fixed in the universe, I tirelessly seek to be someone else. Anyone. Except myself. I was born this way. I cannot change who I am. I was banished from my clan. I was banned too long ago. And now, to survive, I must go against everything I am, against the habits of my own kind. Decades ago, they called us Sirens, and told us we were dangerous. Well, one side of me is. And he is very hungry.

“I really didn't care much about the story at first, but something about it caught my attention. So I decided to read the first chapter. And I don't regret it. Each word of the author made me more and more drawn to the story and reading it for me was a great pleasure. The author writes incredibly well and her plot is perfect. Really very thought-provoking and exciting.”
