Pepper points to the new device in the center of Tony's chest. . —I'm glad you finally bring up this subject. Because it's nothing, it's just a nanoparticle unit.” He minimizes “I want to protect us. The future. That's it. Just in case there are monsters in the closet instead of… —Shirts.” Pepper completes condescendingly. —You know me so well. Finish all my sentences.” He smiles. —You should only have shirts in your closet, Tony.—she sighs. —And rock band t-shirts. —Yes.— he holds her hands —Do you know how it should be? “No more surprises?” Pepper asks hopefully. —Yes. No more surprises, I promise. Tony had promised, but it wouldn't be surprising if he could predict it, right? Now he has to deal with the aftermath of when the biggest monster of them all escapes from the closet.

And even if Tony didn't come back I would have something of him forever. But he came back, and in the midst of all the sadness that had settled in the world, we had five intense years in our little bubble of happiness. Ten years ago I had no idea it would all end this way, but Tony was absolutely right when he said that knowing he was Iron Man would terrify me, and the fear of losing him it would always make me tense and more and more crazy about him, the problem is that I wasn't the only one to know, he told the whole world. Iron Man's sacrifice saved the whole world, but it took away the love of my life, the father of my daughter. It's been a while since our bubble burst, and even though I told him we'd be fine, I can't accept it. Even more so after knowing that all the Avengers went on with their lives. And if some rescued their past, why couldn't I rescue our future?
