Edward Carnby, a famous detective, receives news of the death of his best friend, Charles Fiske, on an island called the Isle of Shadows. Without thinking twice, he agrees to investigate her in order to find the killer. Along with him travel the ethnologist Aline Cedrac and the historian Felipe Ramos, who are in charge of translating the Abkanis handwritten tablets, indigenous tablets in which there are mystical rumors. They end up having an accident on the plane and parachute into different places on the island. The adventure of the three begins with the appearance of bizarre creatures that appear surrounded by a blue glow.
