After being crowned Emperor of Ghalary, young Aethel finds himself in the midst of an empire that is crumbling through corruption, famine, civil war and insubordination of parts of the army, the fruit of 20 years of interregnum. To make Aethel's situation worse, the cunning Nealie, queen of witches, challenges the boy to find a magical golden apple, otherwise the young emperor will suffer a dramatic personal tragedy. It will be the interference of a dark elf that will bring together Aethel, Dipper and Mabel in a dark and fun plot, which will involve the "coracor" (an ancient mystical artifact), a dark wizard named Gael, the peculiar (and cunning) ) sorceress Madame Min and Merlin himself.
Pacifica demands an unforgettable anniversary gift from Dipper, and Dipper decides to search his great-uncle Ford's journals for something unlike anything she's ever seen. If that's even a good idea, I'm just going to find out.
