A few years ago Laurel discovered that she was a faerie and that she had been sent to protect a portal. Behind her old house was the Avalon Pass. There were many sentries watching over her and one of them was an old friend of hers, Tamani. A troll tried to buy the land but she and David, her boyfriend at the time, stopped it all. The following year, to get revenge on Laurel, the same troll kidnapped her best friend Chelsea. Klea, a troll hunter, volunteered to take care of those. This is her last year at school and Tamani, her guardian disguised himself as an exchange student. There was also another exchange student, Yuki, and at the final dance it was discovered that she was a fairy and that Klea might be helping the trolls get into Avalon through potions using fairies. They then decided to kill Yuki before Klea used her flower.
