Maroon 5 é uma banda de pop rock americana formada em Los Angeles, Califórnia, no ano de 1994. O grupo teve seu início como Kara's Flowers, mas só alcançou o sucesso e reconhecimento mundial após mudar seu nome para Maroon 5 e lançar o álbum "Songs About Jane" em 2002. A formação original da banda inclui Adam Levine nos vocais principais e guitarra, Jesse Carmichael no teclado e guitarra base, Mickey Madden no baixo e Ryan Dusick na bateria. Posteriormente, James Valentine se juntou à banda como guitarrista principal.
