Thousands of years ago the world was divided into two great realms Pandora and Arcana. Pandora is known for the realm that stopped in time because of its research on the abyss (a parallel universe where there are grotesque creatures), while Arcana is a realm developed with immense technological power. These two kingdoms were at war until a peace treaty was made. All was going well until a sleepy town in Arcana was attacked.

As the title suggests, this is a story about troubled people. Our main character is a troubled 16-year-old girl named Katrina. Katrina is an orphan and moves in with her brother Hugo. In the new house she meets another resident, meets new friends and meets some childhood friends. The school is weird, the principal is crazy, the students are troubled and falling in love is always a possibility, even for people so opposite.
