Mostly a war where sisters killed sisters! However, not only gems fought in this war, but humans too, and this story is about one of them. In the 30th century B.C. Egyptian fishermen found mysterious pillars scattered along the banks of the River Nile. Fearing that they would fall into the sacred waters, contaminating them, an order was given for the workers to remove them. In the process, several pillars were damaged, a fact that provoked the wrath of an army that Egypt had never seen before. After a withering attack on Egypt's capital Memphis, young Prince Amennekht is saved by Rose Quartz and begins training to become a Crystal Gem.

“Eu não sei nem por onde começar, juro. Foram muitas emoções, lágrimas, risadas, misturados com momentos felizes, revoltantes e muito, MUITO tristes para apenas 42 capítulos dessa história maravilhosa. Foram muitos dias planejando tudo isso que VOCÊ leitor - ISSO, VOCÊ MESMO QUE ESTÁ LENDO ESSA RECOMENDAÇÃO - irá ler se topar esse desafio de "Sangue, Suor, Lágrimas e Estilhaços". Pros que acompanham a série há tempos, pros que começaram agora e até mesmo pra quem não conhece absolutamente NADA desse universo (como eu) se sentem absorvidos por essa fanfic, então por favor, tire um tempo pra ler. Não vai se arrepender, juro. Com várias personagens cativantes dos três lados dessa guerra, você realmente não consegue decidir por quem torcer e menos ainda dizer com toda a certeza do mundo quem chega vivo no final da história (vai por mim, eu mesma quebrei a cara muitas vezes e chorei horrores com algumas mortes). Você vai se ver torcendo por gems de Homeworld, Crystal Gems, humanos, depois odiar todo mundo e mandar pro inferno, só pra depois juntar os cacos do que disse e implorar desculpas por ter tratado cada um mal - tudo isso pra quê? Somente pra entrar em um ciclo vicioso do zero de novo, xingando geral e questionando a SUA própria existência. Sério, se estiver duvidando de mim é só pegar e ler. Vai. É só ler. (Porque eles não leem?...) (...será que eles sabem ler?...) Eu só tenho elogios pra esse autor incrível que soube criar todo um universo numa fanfic que foi do nada pro tudo. Merecia mais de dez, cem, mil recomendações melhores do que a minha - nunca duvide do seu talento, essa obra de arte vai estar pra sempre marcada na sua cabeça como uma vitória. Espero que todo mundo um dia caia aqui pra ver como é especial e perfeitamente escrita. :)”
