It's just an implied thing

After years of searching for Gamora after Thanos' defeat, even Peter feels his hope fading, and begins to believe he's lost it again, for the second time, even though not even the Nova Corps have figured out what happened to Gamora from 2014. But a strange and sudden event one morning could change everything the Guardians have believed until now.

1996. Tony, Steve, Bruce, Thor, Clint and Natasha get together to play role-playing games, but everything is interrupted when they witness a man kill his wife. When the killer flees, they are forced to flee the country to protect themselves. The killer is Thanos, Nebula's father, who sees everything and is also forced to flee, leaving his sister Gamora behind. Follow the years that follow this sudden separation. While some learn to get by in strange lands, others need to learn to get on with their lives, even having lost such important people.
