[STEREK] Derek knew the woods like his own hand. He could catch a single different scent, a single cut tree, so after most of the night of running among the trees and hunting rabbits and squirrels, they arrived at one of the borders. It was the lake, and as much as they were all dying of thirst, there was something there that they had never seen. Eric and Cora ducked as the strange figure crawled out of the water. It was not possible to see his face clearly, but the fingers were long and thin. When he finally stopped walking, Derek approached, smelling salt water and fish. Derek shifted back to get a glimpse of what it was.
