Letters to a hummingbird

Sinossi

"Even though you only loved me for a year, sometimes I feel like that October 8, 2017 lasted a lifetime. I feel like you saw me born that day and, as time went on, saw me grow and mature. I also feel that when it all ended on November 2, 2018, in a way you saw me die too." ~*~ Autobiographical letters about a breakup. Everything written here is real and is part of my journey of overcoming. Feel free to read.

She sits on the floor of her room, hides from her tormentors and dips her hand in the mirror. Shards cut through the thin veins of her fragile skin. She have no mercy. What's a little blood running when you've lost your reason for existing? Repeat, repeat, repeat... I always wondered what my greatest wish was, still unanswered. It was hard to choose... The rain was hitting the window hard and the thunder scared me. It was no big deal. My decision was already made. Even though the love of my life slept so close and did anything for me, I knew it would never be enough. I was unfair to people, always demanding more than they could give me. However, what was I? A mere boy, in dress and make-up. An androgynous boy. I was a freak, a laughing stock in the city. I scratched my skin and saw myself for what I was: Stupid by nature and suicidal on a whim. Where was my freedom? I opened the window and found that my greatest wish was to die. Die under the cover of the stars, with a streak of blood running through the wide smile. As lyrical and poetic as the last breath and the last words... I knew my dream was to be with the man I loved. But dreams were never real; they always died the moment I woke up. I was already almost as dead as my dreams. I sat on the windowsill and swung my legs, feeling the rain soaking through my clothes and the wind freezing me cold. Cold, cold, cold... After all, what was a dream, almost as impossible as traveling at the speed of light, close to a wish about to be granted, as simple as breathing and hating being alive? Know that when your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be shattered.
