Student Love
In the eternal Portuguese city of students, there is a history of encounters and disagreements between those who came from far away to find each other. It is on the European side of the Atlantic that we meet Elano, a good Brazilian boy who comes to Coimbra to study law because he wants to give his family a better life, and Maria Aparecida, a girl-woman still too innocent to know what she wants from life, student and lover of literature, of few means and many dreams, who travels from Rio to Coimbra to fulfill his missing mother's last wish. For Prince Elano, it's love at first sight for Princess Cida. For Maria Aparecida, it's love at first sight... for Conrado Werneck, Elano's infamous colleague, unaware that, under that silent film hero appearance, Conrado is the biggest crook to inhabit the city that the Mondego River bathes. In a web of connections, collisions and mismatched loves, will Elano be able to show Cida the true face of that love triangle? P.S. – Amor de Estudante is an old fado (which I love in Zeca Afonso's version) whose lyrics gave rise to the inspiration for this story: “They say that student love Oh, it doesn't last more than an hour Only mine is so old If you don't leave”

“I've been waiting for a while, or rather, anxiously awaiting, a fanfiction about the first couple of my beloved OTP: Cida & Elano. I confess that I'm not very good with words, in fact, this is my first recommendation. And there are several reasons... The fic is incredible. The couple is already sweet and romantic in itself and the plot of the story, with great coherence, fits perfectly. The direction of the fic is governed in a different and creative way, bringing more life and light to the couple. The writing, then, is wonderful. I just have to thank Joana for this delightful fanfic. THANK YOU, AND DON’T ABANDON US, PLEASE!”
