The Kostroma Dynasty
The world is always changing. Civilizations rise and fall, and it was no different with the nations of this planet. After the Great Wars, Russia was transfigured into Aldan, tsarism installed again. In this new political configuration, Aleksei Kostroma has on his shoulders the weight of being the heir of his country. No, the complications don't stop there. Although the world doesn't know it, in the past Aldan faced a dangerous and increasing rise of magic. With the Witch Hunters on one side and the magic users on the other, bloodshed was inevitable. Centuries later, Aldan was at apparent peace. Then rumors of Circles of Witchcraft begin to surface, and history promises to repeat itself. But this time the Czar is descended from the greatest witch-killer of the last war. The Tsarina is from a family inclined towards pagan magic, she is the traitorous daughter who denounced the family to the hunters. The Tsarevna is the most respected Huntress of her generation. And Aldan's heir, the tsarevich, has the powers of a demon within him. In an act of desperation, the Czar summons a Selection to quiet the people and prepare for the impending war. Pure distraction. The point is that each of those selected, not by chance, is initiated into a Circle of Witchcraft, competing not only for the crown, but for the magical power of the tsarevich, capable of deciding which faction will win the war. Every piece in this game will be important going forward, and losing is not an option. To either side.

“It's been a long, long time since I recommended a story. In fact, it's been a while since I found one that captivated me enough to even read it. After all, I need to confess that here at Nyah! I'm a pretty lazy reader. So the fact that I swallowed 4,000-word chapters along with everyone else and got to the last update without even realizing it shocked me. The plot is clearly very well elaborated: you can see it weaving around you from the first chapter. At first I was a little reluctant with this mixture of the selection with witchcraft, probably in anyone else's hands it would look a little rough. It's not the case. The author works on both themes masterfully, leaving you eager for more with each paragraph. It was not uncommon, throughout the reading, that my face fell. I don't know if this makes sense to anyone else, but it's my body's reaction to videos, music, texts or anything that moves me in some way. This is the level of descriptions and scenes you will find.”
