Quatervois

Synopsis

Quatervois: in French, crossroads. Critical decision, or turning point in someone's life. I write in this journal because it's all I have left to do. If you're reading this, it means I'm dead. And I hope I've finished telling my story before then. I will not start from the beginning, but from the turning point. The most important part of my life, which was the accident. Contrary to popular belief, it was not in this accident that I gained the ability to read minds. I could do it before. Even so, it was only after being run over that I decided to use this ability without fear of reprisal.

The King's sword was stolen. Its dull blade was taken by a skilled thief, wielder of the Gift of the Crow. Shantour, the monarch, won't let this criminal get away with it, and does everything he can to try to recover his family heirloom. He burned cities, killed oracles with the Gift of Sight, and marked every wielder who ever lived on Alitas with Poison Ink. Arien, granddaughter of the most powerful wielder of the Gift of Sight, is thrown into this storm when her master is kidnapped by the General. She inherited the gift from her grandmother, but the more she uses it, the closer she gets to death. Trained in almost every type of combat, she forms friendships and enmities as she searches for the man who taught her everything she knows, while bearing the blame for her grandmother's murder.

Mas vou me esforçar.
