In a bleak future, most of Asia and the east were decimated in a nuclear war. All the remaining countries from Italy to Japan were united and from the ashes of these great civilizations a new empire known as Millefiore was created and led by Byakuran Gesso, who commanded the twelve districts with an iron fist. To demonstrate the power of the capital and control the rest of the country, the Hunger Games were created, this great annual event is broadcast live on television where a boy and a girl aged between twelve and eighteen years old were selected and obliged to fight to the death. Sawada Tsunayoshi, a sixteen-year-old teenager with no notable abilities, besides being completely useless at everything, lived in District Twelve with his family and friends. Another day his younger brother Lambo is drawn as the next tribute. The teenager then makes a life-threatening decision along with his charming district partner and with the help of his mentor Reborn, will Dame-Tsuna survive the dreaded Hunger Games?
