Xenogears
Xenogears é um jogo eletrônico de RPG lançado em 1998 para PlayStation, desenvolvido pela Square (atual Square Enix) e produzido por Tetsuya Takahashi. O jogo foi lançado primeiro no Japão e depois na América do Norte. A trilha sonora do jogo foi composta por Yasunori Mitsuda, que também trabalhou em outros jogos da Square como Chrono Trigger e Final Fantasy X-2. O enredo foi escrito por Masato Kato, que também escreveu o roteiro de Chrono Trigger. A história se passa em um mundo onde a humanidade vive dividida entre duas facções: a nação militarista de Aveh e os eternos rivais religiosos de Kislev. O protagonista do jogo é Fei Fong Wong, um jovem artista marcial que vive na pequena vila de Lahan. Ele acaba sendo arrastado para uma guerra entre as duas nações quando sua cidade natal é atacada. Ao longo do jogo, Fei descobre segredos sobre seu passado e sua verdadeira identidade enquanto luta contra robôs gigantes chamados "Gears". Além disso, o enredo aborda temas como filosofia, psicologia e religião. Uma das características mais marcantes do jogo é o sistema de batalha baseado em combos, onde o jogador pode combinar diferentes ataques para causar danos maiores aos inimigos.
