In 10th century Scotland, after the latest events in her kingdom, Princess Merida must deal with the consequences of her actions. All eyes are on her now, and more than ever, she needs to take responsibility for her as a princess and as the only person aware of a new threat looming in the shadows. However, it will still be necessary to face the dangers of a new invasion from the north - this time, even more terrifying than the last, as a new tribe with new methods of fighting has arrived in the country. On the other hand, Hiccup finds himself surrounded by dubious alliances and needs to be cautious in his decisions, as the future of his people and new dragons found in a distant land is in his hands. Once again, he must be able to recognize which is the right way to go for the good of all. Or almost everyone? A new war is imminent; and this time it will be necessary to know who the real enemy is.

“Esta história não está nem terminada ainda, mas me senti na obrigação de escrever uma recomendação. Esta fanfic é simplesmente incrível! Não imaginei que encontraria um crossover com esse nível de narrativa. A história apesar de trazer um tom mais sério consigo, diferentemente do que vemos nos filmes em que ela foi baseada, consegue ser muito fiel aos mundos estabelecidos e aos personagens que conhecemos e tanto amamos e ainda expande em cima deles. Nossa querida Julia traz para a gente as consequências dos acontecimentos dos filmes, tanto para a Merida em Valente quanto para o Soluço e sua turma em Como Treinar o Seu Dragão. Ela retrata de uma forma muito interessante os encontros dos diferentes povos que não são diferentes apenas em seus locais de origem, mas também no idioma e na cultura como um todo. Nada disso é deixado de lado pela autora, fazendo a gente querer cada vez mais ver as interações entre os personagens de franquias diferentes e o que cada personagem pode aprender com o outro. Reino em Cinzas é uma ótima história com aventura, ação e fantasia que espero muito conseguir ler até o final.”
