What drives someone to plunge into darkness? What led me to this? The Lich King's strength? Your necromantic magic? Or have I partly collaborated with the Scourge Lord's evil intentions unintentionally? Everyone sees the Knights of the Ebon Blade, the ancient Death Knights of the Scourge, fallen heroes who succumbed to the will of the Lich King. We are all, yes, victims of their nefarious plots. But the same anger and the same darkness that torment us today were already inside us forever. The darkest part of our soul was discovered, revealed, tormented in such a way as to consume us and transform us into what we are today. This is the story of my descent into darkness, but it is also the story of how I got my revenge on the one who cursed me. It is the story of a fallen heroine, a dark knight, a being tormented but who never gave up the fight, even in the face of the deepest darkness. For if I give up the fight, I have nothing left. So I follow, for a shadow of hope still remains.
