This is the junction of two stories, Triumph of love and Beware of the Angel. Victoria is married to Heriberto who has two daughters Maria Desamparada and Malu, one day Victoria suffers an accident and consequently Malu gets lost, 10 years pass after Malu's disappearance and finally she returns and meets João Miguel a family friend, she falls in love as well as Maria Desamparada also for his cousin Max, but behind this passion contains a secret, which only Max and Maria can reveal.

As in the original story, Maria was accused of the murder of her friend Patricia. It all happened on a trip to Aruba, where she was accompanied by her husband Estevão and some friends. In this version Maria was sentenced to 10 years in prison, Estevão didn't believe her and didn't help her either, so he asked for a divorce. Estevão never hid from his children about his mother, and they always believed in her innocence. But they could only visit her after completing 12 years, currently Heitor with 17 years and Estrella with 15, Maria is released.
