Early in my day, I find that I no longer need my parents' love. As it's my first day of school, at one of the most expensive schools in the country, I find out that I'll be sharing my dorm room with the most troubled boy in the school. But it doesn't stop there, because this is just the first day.
In New Orleans, all monsters want something. Alice Martínez just wants to find out which of her memories are real and why the dolls she restores seem to know more about her past than she does. Veronika Szasz, venerated as Mother Rony, turns blood and flesh into miracles while hiding from the faithful the true face of her divinity. Laurie Dursun lives in the shadow of Lucien van den Brom, the vampire who took her freedom, her music, and her heart, but still keeps what she desires most: immortality. Three women. Three different ways of belonging to the night. And, at some point, even monsters must decide how much of themselves they are still willing to give.
Naruto and Hinata have been friends since childhood, but they notice their feelings gradually changing. Little by little, they and other people react to these changes... While the world around them expands.
