Charlie and Lola

Synopsis

When Charlie returns from Paris after college, Lola decides that she absolutely doesn't like his girlfriend. However, she is in no position to judge, as she is in love with her childhood friend Soren Lorense, who lived with her while Lola's mother volunteered in Haiti, but cannot bring herself to admit it to him. Incredibly around the same time, Marv, Charlie's best friend and who was platonically in love with Lola during their childhood, also returns from college in Toronto, Canada. And just to add even more to the cake, as if things weren't horrible enough, Lotta, who was Charlie's first crush, returns to town after five years without news.

“'Ahem, sound, sound. Hello, my dear readers. Yes, I'm recommending 2 fanfics in the same week. Deal with it. I'm here, on this wonderful night, to recommend a fic that took me back in time, to my little 5/6 year olds, to when I loved the cartoon "Charlie and Lola". Yes, those blond brothers who were on Cultura and Discovery Kids, who you loved so much. I, as a fool, came to this fanfic for two reasons; 1: Because, as I said, I simply LOVED Charlie and Lola, like, it was my favorite cartoon, if not to this day. 2: Because, as I'm a muggle, I only read half of the synopsis (yes, now I've read it in full), and I thought this fic was Charlie x Lola. Yes, I'm a mentally ill person who shipped Charlie and Lola before I even knew what shipping meant, because, in my naive 5-year-old mind, boys got girls and IT'S OVER! Like, it doesn't matter what relationship people are, it could even be Son x Mother, I asked myself; "Is there a man? Is there a woman?" If so, that's it. PERFECT SHIP! If you had a childhood, you've already watched Charlie and Lola, and since you entered the world of fanfics, you've always wanted a fic about them. THEN LOOK AT THIS! Like, this fic was my dream come true, apart from Marv x Lola *sad face because you can't use emojis in recommendations*. Well, what I want to say, in short, is; READ OR JACK FROST WILL FREEZE YOUR NOSE *psychopathic happy face*”

ONE-SHOTS

(One-shots) There are reasons to see love or friendship in them, it doesn't need to be explained, just felt, if we were to say the why of everything, life wouldn't be fun anymore. It must be practiced naturally, without the refinements of appearances of those who want to constitute themselves in a certain model, what does it matter if it is not real? If I know what I had of what was lacking in the other? And there the spirit of reason says “no”, but an eternal desire of mine says “yes”, a certain respect for them, but pushing away from thought all the idea of hesitation, looking for a: What if...

In the vast and indifferent fabric of space-time, where improbability is a constant and logic is rarely invited for tea, there exists the Department of Interdimensional Bureaucracy (DIB). Its purpose? To ensure that reality remains minimally functional or, at least, sufficiently confusing so that no one notices otherwise. But something went wrong. Horribly, catastrophically, fill-out-three-copies-of-reports wrong. Immanuel Breckford, a man whose greatest achievement until then was remembering where he left his keys, unexpectedly finds himself involved in one of the DIB's most catastrophic failures. Upon receiving a Temporary Ontological Adjustment Request Form 42/B, his existence is recalculated. To correct this cosmic blunder, the DIB sends Artemis Xyllan-7, Senior Auditor and specialist in metaphysical disasters. Armed with an expired stopwatch, a pen that alters probabilities, and the patience of a black hole, she has little time (and even less desire) to fix the problem before the universe decides to file Immanuel away permanently.

Light at the End of the World

In Hawkins, things rarely disappear for good; they change shape, location, or name and keep circulating under the guise of normality. In the summer of 1985, the town is still awash in color, music, and activity, while small inconsistencies remain scattered among ordinary events, unfinished stories, and coincidences that seem to linger longer than they should. For someone who came here hoping to find nothing but distance, the place begins to take on a strangeness that is difficult to pin down, as if something were always slightly out of place, too close to ignore and too obscure to name.
