I lived a monotonous life in my hometown called Tranquility. You know those cities where nothing ever happens? Well, I attended school until I finished my studies, when I finished I realized that school and my friends were all I had, everything for me was school, all the best, people I knew were from there, and suddenly everything it was over. Lauren Marycoopie. So they baptized me. Horrifying name. "They say that if you say Marycoopie three times in front of the mirror you see an image of Lauren taking a shower and then you die the image is so horrible." Girls annoyed me in fifth grade. Once they locked me in the classroom alone, they said that my place was isolated in a room, so no one could catch my 'contagious disease of ugliness'. "I don't think she was very pretty"- You must be thinking. Obviously not. I was weird I realize from my old photos, I dressed like a lady. After the age of 13, I started dressing like I really wanted to, and not like all the girls dressed. When I was 14 I painted my nails and put on black eye makeup. At 15 I changed my attitude and way of expressing myself. When I was 16, they called me the “maloqueira of the piece”. I was letting go, making people smile, being the one who talked the most, messed up and didn't do anything the teachers told me to do. I realized that I had completely changed and I was proud of it. I had real friends, I went to school to see them. The girl who pissed me off had dropped out of school after getting pregnant. Which is typical of the girls here in this hole. The more I grew up, the more I realized that I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with those petty, gossipy people. It had been a year after finishing my studies, I hadn't managed to get into the college I wanted, I just stayed at home, didn't do anything important, didn't go out. Anything. I almost went into depression a few times. I would have, if it weren't for what happened to me, what to tell.
