"Obscure" é uma série de jogos de terror e sobrevivência desenvolvida pela empresa francesa Hydravision Entertainment. O primeiro jogo, intitulado "Obscure", foi lançado em 2004 para PlayStation 2, Xbox e PC. A história se passa em Leafmore High School, onde um grupo de estudantes descobre que a escola está infestada por criaturas sobrenaturais. Os jogadores assumem o controle de um dos seis personagens jogáveis e devem explorar o ambiente assustador da escola, resolver quebra-cabeças e lutar contra os inimigos para desvendar os segredos sombrios que cercam a instituição. Uma das características mais marcantes da série "Obscure" é seu modo cooperativo para dois jogadores. Os jogadores podem optar por enfrentar os desafios do jogo sozinhos ou convidar um amigo para ajudá-los na jornada. Essa mecânica adiciona uma camada extra de imersão e estratégia ao gameplay. O sucesso do primeiro jogo levou ao lançamento de uma sequência intitulada "Obscure II" em 2007. Neste jogo, a história continua com alguns dos personagens originais retornando para enfrentar novas ameaças em uma universidade abandonada. Ambos os jogos da série "Obscure" receberam críticas positivas por sua atmosfera tensa, enredo envolvente e elementos clássicos de horror.
