After doing something she's not proud of, Shayera Hol, the hawk woman, decides to take some time away from the heroine life. But three months later she needs to go back to her old life and find old friends, and an old love. What will it be like to tell John Stewart about her reason for leaving, and especially, her reason for returning? How will she be able to explain her mission?

Project "Who is that girl?": This fic is actually a series of drabbles and short stories about female characters in various fandoms, some popular and others almost anonymous. Because girls need to have a voice.
