"Mortal Kombat... A tournament that takes place every 10 years, where competitors from various realms gather to defend their own realms. If any realm wins 10 tournaments in a row, it will have the opportunity to dominate a specific realm. Unfortunately, the Emperor of Outworld, Shao Kahn, managed to win 9 tournaments in a row, with the help of the sorcerer Shang Tsung, and they have their sights on Earth. Now, this is Earth's last chance to defend itself in this tournament. This time, we can't lose..." - Raiden, the Earth Guardian
Harumi and her son manage to break free from the ice that bound them. What she wanted most at that moment was to find Hanzo so that they could be a perfect and happy family. What she didn't imagine was that she would be surprised by something that would break her heart and that another man would cross her path.
Johnny Cage wakes up in his room and finds that things are different: he sees himself as one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, discovers that all Earthrealm warriors are alive, and that the world is at war. Bewildered, he goes in search of Raiden, but is surprised to find that he is not the same as before. When he finds himself in a parallel reality, he manages to discover that Sub Zero still exists and, then, leaves in search of his friend, trying to get help, but to his surprise he is not Kuai Liang. Johnny also discovers that Shang Tsung was involved in everything and thus begins Johnny's crusade to try to return to his world or at least save it.
A few months after Shinnok's defeat, Kenshi and his son Takeda decide to go in search of the Red Dragon clan to avenge Suchin's death. To help them, Johnny calls a friend of many years named Tatsuo Yamashiro, better known as Katana, to help with the mission. Reluctantly Kenshi accepts Cage's idea. As they walk towards this much feared clan, an unexpected feeling is born between the two swordsmen and both will try to contain themselves, but will they be able to?
The last thing Kitana remembered was his immense desire to free himself from Quan-chi's curse. After the wound inflicted by Raiden, she feels her humanity return. She sees her body being carried by Raiden and arriving at the Special Forces hospital, but feels nothing. All she can do is watch the doctors struggle to save her life, while her friends wait in the waiting room... And she realizes that many things have changed during her absence. For the next 3 days, Kitana needs to understand what happened before the serious injury and also what happened afterward. She knows she has to make the hardest choice of all.
After Shao Khan's defeat, Sindel brings back Edenia by becoming queen. On the day of her coronation Kitana introduces her to Liu Kang as her future husband, but what Sindel didn't count on is that she would fall in love with her own son-in-law. The queen finds herself between two paths: kill this feeling in her heart or give herself to it body and soul.
