Look around. Who do you see? Whoever is by your side could be a murderer, how will you know? Yeah, I know. Look to the side, are you the killer? Believe me, I know.

If you were invited to a party without even knowing the owner, would you go?. I don't think so, but that's not the case for Franklin.
Judy Chelinger is not just another 17 year old girl. She hides much more than a mere "teenager" past. Her life has always been torture and she has no idea what is yet to come. What she's discovered so far is just the beginning of a big, long show of horrors and mysteries...
Elena Gilbert just wanted to be a normal teenager, study, hang out with friends, and sort out the mess of feelings she's been feeling for her best friend, but when you're a girl who can find dead people's bodies, nothing in your life is normal.
In the vast and indifferent fabric of space-time, where improbability is a constant and logic is rarely invited for tea, there exists the Department of Interdimensional Bureaucracy (DIB). Its purpose? To ensure that reality remains minimally functional or, at least, sufficiently confusing so that no one notices otherwise. But something went wrong. Horribly, catastrophically, fill-out-three-copies-of-reports wrong. Immanuel Breckford, a man whose greatest achievement until then was remembering where he left his keys, unexpectedly finds himself involved in one of the DIB's most catastrophic failures. Upon receiving a Temporary Ontological Adjustment Request Form 42/B, his existence is recalculated. To correct this cosmic blunder, the DIB sends Artemis Xyllan-7, Senior Auditor and specialist in metaphysical disasters. Armed with an expired stopwatch, a pen that alters probabilities, and the patience of a black hole, she has little time (and even less desire) to fix the problem before the universe decides to file Immanuel away permanently.
