Chiara Todd DiNozzo is 15 years old and like most young people her age, she doesn't have a good relationship with her father, but that's because of her mother's early death. The young woman is still best friends with Abby Gibbs, with whom she ends up spending most of her time, particularly at Haras Semper Fi, owned by the surly Leroy Jethro Gibbs. On one of those visits to her friend's house, Chiara meets the new horse trainer: Ziva David. Initially Ziva's stern expression will frighten the girl, but over time the two will realize that they share more than friendship with family members, they both share a passion for horses.
