Synopsis

The dark clouds were approaching creating the contrast of that day and hiding the beautiful sky, illuminated by Apollo's radiant chariot. People ran to a place where they could protect themselves from the rain that they thought was going to start, frightened expressions with the presence of the totally black sky, lightning and thunder were the soundtrack of that day and its thunderous sounds the soundtrack. I looked at that sky without any expression, I had to stay strong, that day would be marked for the rest of my life and those present there, pain, bodies on the ground, dismembered people, monsters turned to dust and the blood coloring the ground, the worlds would battle for full power, we couldn't stop deaths from happening or chaos from spreading, I looked around, my great and mighty army, serious eyes centered on the battlefield and once on me. In just a few minutes, the greatest war the world has ever experienced would begin, the battle that I had started, for honor. It would be a real chaos and I was like no one else, fully prepared for that great moment.

In the vast and indifferent fabric of space-time, where improbability is a constant and logic is rarely invited for tea, there exists the Department of Interdimensional Bureaucracy (DIB). Its purpose? To ensure that reality remains minimally functional or, at least, sufficiently confusing so that no one notices otherwise. But something went wrong. Horribly, catastrophically, fill-out-three-copies-of-reports wrong. Immanuel Breckford, a man whose greatest achievement until then was remembering where he left his keys, unexpectedly finds himself involved in one of the DIB's most catastrophic failures. Upon receiving a Temporary Ontological Adjustment Request Form 42/B, his existence is recalculated. To correct this cosmic blunder, the DIB sends Artemis Xyllan-7, Senior Auditor and specialist in metaphysical disasters. Armed with an expired stopwatch, a pen that alters probabilities, and the patience of a black hole, she has little time (and even less desire) to fix the problem before the universe decides to file Immanuel away permanently.
