In an alternate universe, Kira defeated Near and became the god of the new world. However, dissatisfied and bored, he committed suicide upon realizing that he was lonely at the top. The absence of a leader caused World War III, nearly decimating the human race. Three millennia later, the world reestablished itself and was divided into seven homelands. Kira's spirit, at that moment, is about to be reincarnated. However, the angel L doesn't seem to agree very much with this decision...
