“The Upside Down isn't perfect or particularly deep, but it's a delightful story. I don't know Lirael's other works, but I can say that her writing here is splendid. The narrative presented is light and fluid, without many difficult words, easy to understand and perfect for the story. The author presents us with the feelings and motivations of Merida and Hiccup in a very convincing way. Even if you think some action is stupid, it will make sense within the context of each character. Another thing I loved about Upside Down was the loyalty to the characters. At some moments, it was as if I could hear their voices (even though they never said a certain line in the film) and that is a very positive point. I'm in love with the story and I'll read what else I find in Lirael's profile. I recommend you do the same.”
