You couldn't say she was a girl who believed in fairy tales. Or real-life novels out of classic literature books, in fact, she'd never stopped to think about that sort of thing. But when she was reunited with Charlie Baker, Anne Murtaugh felt drawn into a novel that had the potential to become a Shakespearean tragedy. But it was up to them to make the course of this story different, maybe with a happy ending, or maybe just with greater learning. In any case, the most important thing was always to think about The Next Step.
The Bakers and the Murtaugths have been enemies for as long as the world has been, but what happens when a Murtaugth and a Baker fall in love? Just reading to find out.
Sarah and Jessica are shaken by Jake and Kim's departure, as they were their closest brothers and finally their only friends. Amid confusion, teenage dramas and romances, they get closer and end up becoming best friends.
Opposites attract, don't they? The Bakers and the Murtaughs are going to vacation together at a vlube owned by the Murtaughs in Texas. Jake Baker the skateboarder and Victoria Murtaugh (original character) the model, the right kind of wrong girl end up in conflict. HATRED. But when Jake and Victoria disappear into the woods, the two families bond, even more than they'd like. PASSION.
"I didn't know if what she offered me was serious, would renting her heart cost me just a smile? Part of me said it was foolish, that I should get up from this bench and go home to face my problems like the man who I was, that this girl, who infected me with her easy smile and happy look, was just a nutcase with nothing more useful to do than annoy me and the other part... That part found itself responding, first with the outline of a smile that was the required payment and then with the words I never thought would ever leave my lips..."
One night an old Indian told his grandson about a battle that takes place within people. He said, — My son, the battle is between two "Wolves" within all of us. One is the Bad, it is anger, envy, jealousy, sadness, disgust, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride and superiority. The other is Good, it is joy, peace, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. — The grandson thought about it for a few minutes and asked his grandfather: — Which wolf wins? — The old Indian simply replied: — What do you feed. (The Legend of the Two Wolves) Just like in the legend, Leah constantly fights this battle within herself. A fight that will put you to challenge your own destiny.
