The Silver City
In 1839, a document identified as Manuscript 512 was discovered in the National Library of RJ that spoke about the discovery of a lost city somewhere in the heart of Bahia. Considered the greatest fable in national archaeology, it never received due attention until 2018, when a photo taken from a plane finally casts doubt on the inauthenticity of the account. Could a single photograph change the entire known story about the discovery of Brazil? It will be up to archaeologist Daniel Ventura to put his career and credibility on the line to answer this complicated question.
