Survivor
"The air was still with difficulty in my lungs. I closed my eyes tightly, pulling my hair and then let out an anguished scream that echoed throughout the place, trying to get rid of all that pain that spread like flames throughout my I wish the last few hours had never happened. I stayed in that position, with my head on my knees, feeling my head about to explode, I was exhausted physically and emotionally. At some point, when night came, the Fatigue overcame me and I finally closed my eyes, wondering what my life would be like from now on. Only then was I swallowed by darkness, into a dreamless sleep."

“Survivor is that story I read the first chapter and wondered: the soap opera could have followed this course here. Writing is fluid, the author is a person's love, and the story is wonderful. We understand, both the situations and the characters, that the caveat that I loved their version presented here. Afonso is the king who should have been in God save the king, the king who was created to be and who does not abandon a whole people and a kingdom for a love that had the risk of not taking revenge right. Catarina here is more "docile" but still preserves the features of a strong and determined queen. Both form a insightful, intelligent and ambitious couple, each with its own qualities and defects to use and abuse between declared agreements and wars, kingdoms are modified and strengthened. As a kind of chess game, where king and queen disputes and dance for the board, here we see the couple born, resurface, roar, and survive without letting their heavy crowns fall from the top of their heads.”
