Sinead: the Unforgivable

Synopsis

Although distant, I still hear her insane screams. The condemned. The downcast in anguish. They still haunt my dreams. A philosopher once wrote, "Every man is guilty of the good he has not done." I really believe in that. My guilt defies any punishment. My urge to fix what's wrong consumes my core. Simply put, I need to completely erase the slate. Names are unimportant, but for the record, I was born Sinéad Harkin, in Dublin, Ireland. That was quite a while ago. Gone was the strange face that looked back at me in the mirror. Innocence replaced by death. [OneShot]

Indomitable Heart

One night an old Indian told his grandson about a battle that takes place within people. He said, — My son, the battle is between two "Wolves" within all of us. One is the Bad, it is anger, envy, jealousy, sadness, disgust, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride and superiority. The other is Good, it is joy, peace, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith. — The grandson thought about it for a few minutes and asked his grandfather: — Which wolf wins? — The old Indian simply replied: — What do you feed. (The Legend of the Two Wolves) Just like in the legend, Leah constantly fights this battle within herself. A fight that will put you to challenge your own destiny. A love without strings. which transforms. That frees. A love greater than Imprinting! Because Leah Clearwater has an Indomitable Heart!

In the vast and indifferent fabric of space-time, where improbability is a constant and logic is rarely invited for tea, there exists the Department of Interdimensional Bureaucracy (DIB). Its purpose? To ensure that reality remains minimally functional or, at least, sufficiently confusing so that no one notices otherwise. But something went wrong. Horribly, catastrophically, fill-out-three-copies-of-reports wrong. Immanuel Breckford, a man whose greatest achievement until then was remembering where he left his keys, unexpectedly finds himself involved in one of the DIB's most catastrophic failures. Upon receiving a Temporary Ontological Adjustment Request Form 42/B, his existence is recalculated. To correct this cosmic blunder, the DIB sends Artemis Xyllan-7, Senior Auditor and specialist in metaphysical disasters. Armed with an expired stopwatch, a pen that alters probabilities, and the patience of a black hole, she has little time (and even less desire) to fix the problem before the universe decides to file Immanuel away permanently.
