John Henry
In 1870, the C&O (Chesapeake and Ohio Railway) was having problems building the Lewis Tunnel, so they decided to use a steam drill to optimize the work. Unfortunately, the machine threatened to take away the work of countless company employees, so a man, John Henry, proposed a simple and unthinkable challenge: he would compete with the drill to show who worked with greater commitment, the man or the machine. With pleasant language (and a few hints of humor), the inspiring American legend of John Henry takes on new life in this manuscript.
