Christine Brown is an ambitious Los Angeles credit analyst who is dating professor Clay Dalton. Her life is great until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush shows up at the bank where she works to beg for an extension on her mortgage. To be seen with good eyes by the boss, Christine decides to deny the lady's request. In retaliation, the lady casts a terrible curse on the young woman, turning her life into a terrible nightmare. Pursued by a spirit and distrusted by her boyfriend, she seeks the help of a prophet to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help Christine, the seer puts her in staggering situations to try to reverse the spell. But when the forces of evil close in, Christine is faced with a long, winding path whose ultimate destination is her release.
