Adam Parrish doesn't spend a lot of time thinking about Richard Gansey III and the make-out sessions they shared in high school. That is, until he finds said Gansey in his history teacher's office.
Marriage wasn't in Adam and Ronan's plans, but they eventually reach a point where they don't have much choice in the matter.
Ronan was supposed to teach Adam Latin, but, being Ronan, that doesn't quite work out. The two decide to stop and go out to buy a snack, which turns out to be a bad idea as they run into Mr. Parrish. Adam thought his father's opinion of his attitudes no longer affected him, but he will discover that family ties can be used to the gallows even after they are broken.
