“We all know who to turn to when we need support. Thinking about that loved one is almost instantaneous and being able to count on them is a huge relief. However, there are times when we discover that the most important part of this safe haven does not offer you the necessary support, watching you sink in the sea of despair, sometimes being responsible for drowning you along with it. Phaedra brings the shocking, painful and real possibility of maternal neglect, demystifying the image of the woman-mother and making us face the pain of being in a relationship of emotional abuse. Here, the angel's wings were exchanged for those of a harpy and the welcoming arms were replaced by sharp claws like the tongue of the one that delivers poison with its toxic and cruel words. Heartbreaking comparisons between a person and a monster, but touching enough for us to admit once and for all that humans are more terrible than the creatures that paint fiction; That's because they are real. Touching and profound narrative, the author never fails to introduce and reintroduce us to the characters throughout their development, with her writing style being the ideal finishing touch that this story requires. Let Phaedra weigh her heart and after that, weigh yourself if there are any harpies hanging around you; I guarantee that, just like Tadashi, you don't deserve her to be around.”

Someone, Somewhere in Summertime
