After graduating from MIT, Felicity soon got a job at Palmer Technologies in Central City and immediately fell in love with the place and her boss Ray Palmer who returned the love and within 2 years they were getting married. Felicity dreamed of having children, but after discovering that Ray was unable to give her children due to an illness, they decided to adopt. A few months after the adoption, Ray has an accident and ends up dying. Felicity, frustrated with the loss of her husband, vowed never to love anyone the way she loved him again. She decides to move to Star City and try to start over with her daughter Evelyn, when she starts working at Queens Consolidated and has to put up with partner Oliver Queen, the most pathetic and handsome womanizer she's ever seen.
