Heir to the Throne - Part I
The story of Saraí, a girl tormented by a dark past and an uncertain future. What would you do if the future of humanity was in her hands? *** My roommate slept in the top bed. I didn't fall asleep easily. I decided to get up for a glass of water, but as soon as I passed the hallway I saw that the kitchen was destroyed and hundreds of mutilated bodies were lying in space. I screamed softly. Outside I saw that a war was going on, the noise of gunfire and bombs took over the atmosphere. I ran, but a man held me back. He was tall and had fire in his wings, on his arms the tattoos glowed a shade of red. He squeezed my arm and stared at me with the most horrible black eyes I've ever seen. "Come with me," he said with a note of hate in his voice. I couldn't refuse, after all he was holding my arm and I was just a thirteen year old girl. He was walking towards a fire pit that formed in the middle of the orphanage's garden, I was screaming for him to let go of me. “No,” I yelled, but he threw me into the big hole. I fell aimlessly, I couldn't see anything below my feet. I felt someone holding me. An angel grabbed me before I got to the end of that hole. He put me down. The tears fell, I tried to face my savior, but he stopped me from looking at his face. "Don't look into my eyes," he said. I looked down and continued to cry. "I'm scared," I said through tears. — I'll protect you, Saraí — he said and disappeared. *** If you like "Fallen", "Hush Hush Saga" and "Made of Smoke and Bone" don't miss this fanfic... As you read it, you fall in love with the characters and especially the story. Sometimes I catch myself thinking like Saraí at certain times and like every girl with her problems: boys, love, friendships...k So what are you still doing here? Have you read it yet? No? Then go read it soon!”
