“When I started reading The Host - Deserted Heart I just wanted Rain to give me a refuge from Stephenie's world. But what I found here was much more than that. It's something much more powerful. There is an intensity in the way the story develops that is much more enchanting, it's like going up to heaven and never coming back. There is no devastating descent, it is a magical climb full of delicious emotions. Every point in the narrative is impactful and sensitive enough to make our love for it even stronger. Rain's narrative is like diving deep and then emerging, taking a deep breath of invigorating air.”

At school, I considered myself friends with many people, even though I knew I could really only count on a few: Jude Collins, Lucy White, Melissa Oliver, and Liam Kent. And when it all started, I had to count on them more than ever, especially when he left.
