In the blink of an eye, everyone over the age of 14 is gone. Teenagers remain. Pre-teens. Children. No adults. No teachers, police officers, doctors or guardians. The animals seem to be transforming, and a sinister creature is lurking. Teenagers themselves are becoming different, developing unimaginable, dangerous and deadly powers that grow day by day. It's a new and scary world. You have to choose a side and war is inevitable and children have never been less anxious for their fifteenth birthdays.

Every ten years, 80 children are drawn for a chance to be part of the Accalon Institute for Nuclear Research and Strategy, one of the only honors a worthless child could have in their entire life. The raffle, or slaughter, as some called it, occurs when the number of employees at the Institute was already very low and needed to be replaced. The only people allowed to compete are children 10 to 16 years of age, with no exceptions. The children's task is simple, manage a fictional city. They would have to live and manage the place for a few months without the intervention of relatives or any adults. Groups were formed and alliances were drawn, everyone had their task established and had to perform it with the utmost effort. During their stay at the Institute, all the children would be observed and evaluated from afar by their tutors and some rulers and, in the end, only a few of them would emerge victorious and, as much as they were denied, there were always deaths.
